Victory Communications Re-Design

February 17, 2009 | Comments (0)

Victory CommunicationsI was hired to refresh the look and feel of Victory Communications, an older website for which I originally wrote the copy. There were several objectives that needed to be met in the re-design. The site needed an updated, modern look that was right for its industry. The site needed to be brought up to speed technically. And it needed a navigation system that made it easy for users.

Colonel MustardDig deeply into any work of art, any novel of note, and amongst its mountain of details you will find its excellence. Battle Stations!

January 28, 2009 | Comments (0)

SmileyWell, if the site looks new, that's because it is. I have owned this domain for 5 years and it has always been hosted on the original server. I just never felt like moving it to my server. Recently, another site on the server where it was hosted was hacked and some nasty stuff was done to it. It didn't effect my site too much. I had a few scripts that quit working properly and I received about 10,000 junk email in two days. So, if you've sent me an email in the last month and I didn't respond there is a

Logo Creation Process

January 05, 2009 | Comments (0)

I am often asked by clients what the process is for creating a logo. As with most things, this varies from time to time, depending on the situation, but typically it can be broken down into several distinct stages. First, understand that most of my clients come from referrals. They have seen some of my work, gone on my website and decided that my style and abilities are a match for their needs. Typically, they are starting a new company or have one that never really had a logo created for it.

Extinction Happens!

January 05, 2009 | Comments (0)

Your small to medium sized business is growing or changing. Or, more likely, you need it to grow or change. Assume, if you will, that you need a new website or brochure. Do you view your new brochure or website as an asset that will add value to your company and corporate image and, if properly crafted, enhance your bottom line? Or, do you see this as a cost that you have to spend and that only subtracts from the bottom line? There is a huge difference in perspective. And both types of people are easy to identify.
